Dynamic Materials

Dynamic Polymer Materials

The introduction of dynamic crosslinks in polymer materials results in materials that become insoluble and more dimensionally stable at use temperatures, but can flow upon using an external trigger, such as a high temperature.  In our group we currently focus on developing new dynamic materials for applications in self-healing, additive manufacturing (e.g., stereolithograpghy and selective laser sintering), recycling of polymer materials and the modification of engineering plastics.
