In 2016, I received my BSc in Chemical Engineering at the University of Groningen where I first worked on thermo-reversible cross-linking of EPDM rubbers under the supervision of dr. ir. L.M. Polgar and prof. dr. F. Picchioni. In 2019, I received my MSc in Chemical Engineering at the University of Groningen. My Masters’ program focused on polymer products and polymer processing. After an internship in the R&D Packaging Department of Beiersdorf AG in Hamburg, I did a master research project focused on recycling of tire rubber by mechanochemical devulcanization using a patent by prof. dr. F. Picchioni and prof. dr. A.A. Broekhuis.
In May 2019, I was honored to start my PhD program on the synthesis of high performance polyurethanes under the supervision of prof. dr. R. Sijbesma and dr. Z. Tomovic with sponsoring from BASF polyurethanes. Currently, I am focusing on the synthesis of high performance structural motifs to incorporate into polyols with the eventual goal of improving thermal and mechanical properties of polyurethanes.
