In 2015 I received my B.Sc degree in Chemistry at the Hasselt University in Belgium. Afterwards I did my master in Chemical Engineering and Chemistry at Eindhoven University of technology, where I did my first research project on the application of wide-bandgap conjugated polymers in single junction polymer solar cells under supervision of Ruurd Heuvel (M.Sc.) and Prof. René Janssen. I continued my master program in Australia at the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO) with a research project under supervision of Dr. Almar Postma and Prof. Graeme Moad. There I worked on light‐induced RAFT single unit monomer insertion in aqueous media. In December 2017, I started my PhD in the group of Prof. Rint Sijbesma and I’m currently working on Diels-Alder based mechanochemistry to probe interfacial damage and failure in nanocomposites.
